Sunday Home Reset Checklist
A calm 45–90 minute sweep so Monday starts with clear counters, a started laundry load, and keys where you can find them — not a guest-party deep clean.
1. Kitchen / fridge glance
- Clear sink + wipe main counters (crumbs and sticky spots only)
- Open fridge: toss obvious spoilage; move leftovers to “eat first”
- Note 2–3 meals you can cook from what's already there
- Start dishwasher or hand-wash the daily pile
- Wipe stove/table top if it looks lived-in
2. Surfaces & trash
- Walk living + entry: return 10 out-of-place items to their homes
- Empty bathroom + kitchen trash if more than half full
- Quick floor pass in high-traffic paths (sweep or robot — whatever you use)
- Wipe bathroom sink / mirror splash zone
- Recycle / compost bag to the door if pickup is soon
3. Laundry start (not the full marathon)
- Start one load of the week's essentials (work clothes, towels, or underwear)
- Set a phone/timer reminder to move it to dry
- Fold or hang whatever finished from yesterday (10 minutes max)
- Put empty hamper back where dirty clothes actually land
4. Paper / mail outbox
- Gather loose mail into one tray or envelope
- Toss junk; file or act on anything due this week
- Put outgoing bills/returns by the door or in the bag
- Clear the dining table of “temporary” paper piles
5. Monday staging
- Glance at calendar: first appointment, any hard deadlines
- Stage keys, bag, transit card, and charger in one spot
- Lay out or note Monday clothes / work kit if mornings are rushed
- Fill water bottle / prep a simple breakfast cue
- Write one sticky: “Monday first task” — park it where you'll see it
